Twelve big games, checked against the kit people actually own
Kit List began with a small, repeated annoyance. Reviews told us whether a game was good; almost none told us whether it would run on the laptop, the handheld or the console already in the house, or what it would really cost to keep playing.
What we do
For every game on the list we gather what you need to know before spending money or disk space: the publisher's own PC requirements, the rating Valve gives it on Steam Deck, which consoles, phones and Macs it is released on, whether it can be streamed, what it costs in UK stores in pounds, what the in-game shop sells, and what has changed in the last year. Then we give an editorial verdict and a score out of ten.

What we do not do
We do not run benchmarks, we do not publish frame-rate figures of our own and we do not claim hours we have not logged. When a number appears on Kit List it comes from a publisher, a store or a platform holder, and the page links to where we found it.
There is no advertising here and there are no affiliate links. Nobody pays for a place on the list, for a score or for a mention. Store links go to official pages because that is where the facts live, and we earn nothing when you follow them.
Why only twelve
A short list we can keep current is more useful than a long one that quietly goes out of date. Each game is rechecked when a large update, a new platform or a price change arrives, and the Patch board records what moved and when.
Who writes it
Kit List is researched, written and edited by a small independent team in Glasgow. We play on the same mix of ageing laptops, handhelds and consoles as everyone else, which is exactly why the kit comes first here.
