Games for Mac
More big games run natively on Apple silicon Macs than a few years ago, but the list is still short, and competitive shooters are the gap.
Native Mac versions of our twelve are sold on Steam, GOG, the Mac App Store or the publisher's own launcher. Apple silicon (M1 and later) is what the publishers support now; older Intel Macs are increasingly left out.
Games with Windows-only anti-cheat do not come to Mac at all. For those, cloud streaming is the realistic route.

Setting it up well
- Check the memory requirement: some games need 16 GB of unified memory.
- Keep macOS up to date; several games need a recent version.
- Buy on a store that includes the Mac version, such as Steam or GOG, if you also play on Windows.
- For Windows-only games, use a cloud service rather than unofficial workarounds.
